The article explores the role of English-speaking clubs in the context of Ukrainian lyceums as means of improving students' communicative abilities. Based on the analysis of existing theoretical approaches and empirical research conducted both in Ukraine and abroad, the significant positive impact of informal learning in English-speaking clubs on the development of fluent language proficiency, confidence in communication, and understanding of cultural peculiarities is highlighted. The article contains practical recommendations for teachers on organizing effective English-speaking clubs in lyceums and suggests directions for further research in this area.
