Abstract

The article considers the results of theoretical analysis of the existing changes in the paradigm of adult education and their reflection in the development of andragogy as a science. The features of adult education as a factor in the development of society in the context of globalisation and European integration processes are outlined, and it is established that the leading goal of education and lifelong learning has been and remains a focus on the comprehensive development of an adult.
