FAIR Policy
The editors of the journal adhere to the principles of open science and support the implementation of the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles regarding the publication of research data related to scientific publications.
This policy applies to all submitted manuscripts, unless otherwise dictated by the nature of the research or existing ethical, legal, or commercial constraints.
By research data we mean primary and processed data, program code, algorithms, protocols, metadata and other materials necessary for the verification, reproducibility and reuse of research results.
It is recommended that research data be placed in repositories with a permanent unique identifier (eg, DOI).
Data should be accessible through open and standard access protocols. In case of restricted access, authors are obliged to clearly state the reasons for restrictions and the conditions for obtaining access.
Data and metadata must be presented in open or commonly accepted formats using appropriate industry standards and controlled vocabularies.
The data must be accompanied by sufficient documentation and a license specifying the terms of its reuse (eg Creative Commons licenses).
A submitted manuscript may contain a separate section indicating where data are stored, access identifiers, and terms of use or reasons for data unavailability.
In cases where publication of data is not possible for ethical, legal or other valid reasons, authors should provide an appropriate explanation and, if possible, publish metadata.
The editors reserve the right to evaluate the compliance of submitted research data with the requirements of this policy within the editorial and review process.
