Plagiarism Policy

The journal “Problems of Friction and Wear” adheres to the principles of academic integrity and ethical publishing standards.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal are subject to mandatory plagiarism screening prior to the peer review process.

Plagiarism detection is carried out using the StrikePlagiarism.com system, which allows for the identification of textual similarities with published sources, academic databases, and Internet resources.

The plagiarism check aims to detect, but is not limited to:

  • direct plagiarism;

  • self-plagiarism;

  • excessive or improper citation;

  • unauthorized use of text, figures, or other materials.

Manuscripts that demonstrate an unacceptable level of text similarity or violations of publication ethics are rejected without peer review or returned to the authors for revision, depending on the severity of the identified issues.

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, authors confirm that:

  • the submitted work is original;

  • the manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere;

  • all sources are properly cited in accordance with academic standards.

The editorial board reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the acceptability of a manuscript based on the results of the plagiarism check.
