Policy of academic integrity

The Editorial Board adheres to the principles of academic integrity, transparency, publication ethics, and responsibility in accordance with international publishing standards (COPE, ICMJE Recommendations, Open Science principles).

Academic integrity is mandatory for authors, reviewers, editorial board members, and all participants involved in the editorial process.

Principles of Academic Integrity

All participants in the editorial process must adhere to the following principles:

  • honesty and reliability in research;
  • proper citation and referencing;
  • prevention of plagiarism and self-plagiarism;
  • prohibition of data fabrication and falsification;
  • transparency of authorship;
  • avoidance of conflicts of interest;
  • compliance with ethical standards for research involving humans and animals.

Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism

The Journal does not consider manuscripts containing:

  • direct or paraphrased plagiarism;
  • use of others’ ideas without proper citation;
  • self-plagiarism (reuse of substantial parts of previously published work without proper reference);
  • compilation of texts without original author contribution.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using specialized plagiarism detection software.

If violations are detected, the Editorial Board reserves the right to:

  • reject the manuscript;
  • retract a published article;
  • notify the author’s affiliated institution.

Authorship

Authorship must meet the following criteria:

  • substantial contribution to the research concept, design, or data analysis;
  • participation in drafting or critically revising the manuscript;
  • approval of the final version of the manuscript;
  • accountability for the content of the work.

Data Fabrication and Falsification

The following practices are strictly prohibited:

  • data fabrication;
  • manipulation of research results;
  • intentional distortion of statistical data;
  • concealment of significant findings.

Confirmed violations result in manuscript rejection or article retraction.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflict of interest (financial, professional, or personal) that could influence the objectivity of the editorial process.

Ethical Aspects of Research

For research involving human participants or animals, authors must:

  • confirm informed consent;
  • indicate approval from an appropriate ethics committee;
  • guarantee confidentiality of personal data.

Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Board ensures:

  • unbiased double-blind peer review;
  • confidentiality of the editorial process;
  • prompt response to complaints regarding integrity violations;

retraction of publications in cases of confirmed serious misconduct.
