FEATURES OF INTERIOR DESIGN OF EDUCATIONAL AND SCIENTIFIC LABORATORIES OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Purpose. The purpose of the work is to identify functional-planning and artistic- figurative features of the interior design of the premises of educational and scientific laboratories of higher education institutions. Methodology. The work uses methods of synthesis and generalization based on the analysis of scientific, regulatory and methodological literature, as well as world experience in the design projecting of educational and scientific laboratories of higher education institutions. Results. Educational and scientific laboratories are a relatively new type of premises of a higher education institution, which are actively developing both in the world and in Ukraine. The theoretical principles of the design and design of the interiors of such premises have not yet been formed. The world practice of designing educational and scientific laboratories is oriented towards modern requirements for the renewal of educational space on the principles of flexibility, multifunctionality, stimulation of creativity and partnership interaction of all participants in the educational process. This is expressed in such features of interior design as flexible planning and functional organization, openness, multifunctionality, transformability, etc. At the same time, the division into research and experimental and educational and analytical premises is preserved in the laboratory premises, where the latter acquire a new quality, including both offices and classrooms that can be flexibly modified, as well as informal and public spaces. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the features of the interior design of educational and scientific laboratories of higher education institutions were identified and summarized, in particular, the development of the educational and analytical work zone as a flexible multifunctional space, which also includes an informal and public component, was indicated. Practical relevance. The results of the work can be directly used in the design of educational and scientific laboratories, in the training of environmental designers, as well as a basis for further research.
