CURRENT TRENDS IN CREATIVE CLOTHING MODELING IN THE COLLECTIONS OF MODERN DESIGNERS

Abstract

Purpose. The purpose is to study the modeling techniques and tools used by designers of world-famous Fashion houses when designing seasonal clothing collections; to establish how designers combine different modeling techniques when developing new clothing models. Methodology. The article uses a systematic approach and general scientific methods of analysis when working with the objects of study, including: artistic and compositional, visual-analytical methods, interpretation method, methods of selection and analysis, comparative method and systematization of the results. Results. The article analyzes the clothing collections of the spring-summer season 2025, demonstrated by designers of world-famous Fashion houses and brands during Paris Fashion Week. The collections are analyzed, the models in which are designed using the techniques and means of constructive, creative modeling and shaping of clothing. On the basis of a comprehensive analysis of the models of collections, their volumetric and silhouette forms, proportional and compositional solutions and other characteristics, the methods and means of modeling are distinguished, the principles of combining the applied modeling techniques are clarified. In the collections of clothing models, constructive modeling techniques, such as darts manipulating, building reliefs and undercuts, expanding parts of parts, and others are clearly separated, creating separate model features of clothing, in others, they are the basis for the application of techniques and methods of creative modeling or have become an integral part, the initial stage of a certain creative modeling technique. It has been determined that the techniques of constructive and creative modeling are closely interrelated, affect the final result, are combined, forming new forms, designs, etc. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty lies in the definition of techniques and means of constructive and creative modeling in the models of modern collections, which makes it possible to establish modern trends in modeling and shaping of clothing. Practical relevance. The obtained results of the study can be used for further research of modern methods and techniques of modeling and shaping of clothes; used by fashion designers in the development of new collections of clothes; can be integrated as theoretical and practical material into the curricula of educational institutions for the training of fashion designers.
