TABLE AS AN ELEMENT OF INTERIOR: CLASSIFICATION, FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE AND CONSTRUCTIVE ASPECTS

Abstract

The importance of calculating the design of tables in the formation of interior space is analyzed. The functional purpose, design features and factors taken into account when designing a table design are determined. A universal table design is proposed and it is proven that it is an important component of living space in interior design. Purpose. To determine the role of the table in interior design; to investigate the factors taken into account when designing table designs, to determine their functional purpose in order to better understand the practical use in interior design. Methodology. Information-research and visual-analytical approaches were applied in combination with methods of comparative analysis of the use of tables in the interior. Results. The role of the table in interior design was considered. It was established that functionality, transformability, service life, wear resistance, price, comfort, safety, materials, aesthetics and style are key factors taken into account when designing table designs. Tables are classified by functional purpose: tables for special needs, for conferences, for children’s rooms, residential, office, kitchen, technical and work tables. The constructive aspects of using the developed table design in various interior styles and materials for designing new creative structures are shown. Scientific novelty. The possibilities of using tables in interior design are clarified, the features of their application in practice are revealed. The functional purpose of tables in interior design and the features of their implementation in interior design in the design process are determined. Practical relevance. The results of the study can be useful both for developing new methods and designs of design-design, as well as in other areas of research design for students, teachers and architects.
