Abstract

The article examines the issue of psychological support for students with symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the context of developing their intellectual and personal giftedness. The importance of creating a safe educational environment that promotes the self-realization of students affected by traumatic experiences is substantiated. Based on the analysis of theoretical sources and observations of students at Mykola Gogol Nizhyn State University, it is shown that with adequate psychological support, students who display PTSD symptoms are capable of demonstrating a high level of cognitive activity, motivation for learning, and self-development. The role of teachers and psychologists as facilitators of giftedness development within the process of restoring students’ psycho-emotional well-being is emphasized.
