The article presents an analysis of the main approaches to the problem of training teachers to work with gifted children and youth; reveals the characteristics of the system-forming factors of building a system of training teachers to teach and educate gifted children; defines the basic components of their psychological and pedagogical readiness for the development of giftedness.
