The article explores the role of rehabilitation gardens as a tool for restoring mental health in the aftermath of the war in Ukraine. Special attention is given to the use of therapeutic gardens for the rehabilitation of military personnel, civilians, healthcare workers, and the rebuilding of communities. The psychological and physiological benefits of interacting with natural elements, such as water features, seasonal changes, aromatherapy, color therapy, and tactile interaction with plants, are described. Specific methods that help reduce stress levels, improve emotional well-being, and promote social adaptation are highlighted. Recommendations are provided on the use of trees, plants, and safe methods for integrating these elements into the rehabilitation process. The article aims to present practical solutions for creating rehabilitation gardens in post-war recovery in Ukraine. Purpose. The aim of the article is to examine rehabilitation gardens as a tool for restoring mental health in the aftermath of the war in Ukraine. The article focuses on the application of therapeutic gardens for the rehabilitation of military personnel, civilians, healthcare workers, and the restoration of social harmony in war-affected communities. Methodology. The research methodology is based on a combined approach that includes literature analysis, the study of practical examples of rehabilitation gardens in post-conflict situations, and observations and recommendations from specialists in psychotherapy, garden design, and ecology. Data from scientific publications, international therapeutic gardening practices, and studies on the impact of nature on mental health were used for the analysis. Results. The study revealed that rehabilitation gardens have significant therapeutic potential for reducing stress and anxiety, enhancing emotional well-being, and improving social adaptation. It was found that water features, seasonal changes, aromatherapy, color therapy, and interaction with plants contribute to profound mental health recovery. Recommendations were also developed for the safe integration of these elements into rehabilitation processes. Scientific novelty. The scientific novelty of the study lies in a comprehensive approach to investigating the impact of rehabilitation gardens on the mental health of individuals who have experienced the trauma of war. For the first time in Ukraine, an analysis was conducted on the feasibility of implementing therapeutic gardens in the context of post-war rehabilitation, particularly in the conditions of the ongoing war in Ukraine. Specific practices that help reduce stress levels and improve emotional well-being through interaction with natural elements were examined. Practical relevance. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of specific recommendations for creating rehabilitation gardens, which can be implemented in the process of restoring the mental health of military personnel, civilians, and healthcare workers affected by the war. The established therapeutic effects of interaction with natural elements are significant for developing rehabilitation strategies in post-war recovery conditions. This research may serve as a foundation for the practical implementation of such projects in Ukraine and other countries affected by military conflicts.
