The purpose of the work is to classify creative booklets by types of form formation that determine the visual appeal, functionality and communicative effectiveness of printed products. The focus is on innovative experimental approaches to their design in the context of modern design. Methodology. The study is based on a systemic approach, which allows for a comprehensive consideration of the booklet as a multifunctional object of graphic design in the relationship of form, content and communicative tasks. For the analysis, visual observation of samples of booklets, which are distinguished by creative constructive solutions, was used, a comparative analysis of their forms and methods of presenting information was carried out. The method of systematization and classification made it possible to identify typological features of booklets, and compositional, functional, figurative-stylistic design analyses made it possible to assess their object-specific qualities. The use of the forecasting method in combination with the experimental approach provided the opportunity to test the effectiveness of various constructive models and outline the prospects for the development of creative formmaking. Results. As a result of the study, the main types of booklet designs were identified: multi-page booklets, accordion booklets, creative booklets, pop-up and 3D designs. It was proven that their main feature is the experimental nature of form creation, which testifies to the tendency of modern design to search for new expressive means and innovative solutions. Form creation of creative booklets combines functionality and emotionality, turning printed products into a communication tool capable of influencing the perception and emotions of the viewer. The proposed author’s classification of creative booklets presents form creation as an experimental process of interaction of a creative concept, original composition and dynamic material structure. Scientific novelty. The work presents for the first time the booklet not simply as an information printing medium, but as a holistic creative design object that acts as a field for experimentation with construction, composition, and image, capable of evoking emotions and engaging in active communication. This opens up the possibility for further research at the intersection of graphics, paper art, and marketing. Practical relevance. The results obtained may be useful to students, teachers, and practicing designers in the process of designing and developing printed products. The proposed classification will serve as a guide in choosing the type of construction to create an effective and aesthetically appealing design product.
