Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the features of creating creative spaces in art education institutions, analyze modern approaches to organizing such spaces and identify key factors that contribute to the development of students’ and teachers’ creative potential. The article also aims to evaluate both Ukrainian and international experiences in creating creative hubs and learning environments, and to determine methods for their effective functioning and integration into the educational setting. Methodology. A comprehensive approach was applied, combining analysis of scientific publications, comparative study of domestic and international practices, and systemic and functional analysis of creative spaces. The main methods included content analysis of scholarly articles and monographs, systematization of practices for organizing creative hubs, and summarizing the experience of leading art academies and universities. Results. The study revealed that effective formation of creative spaces requires a comprehensive approach, including spatial zoning, flexible modular interiors, integration of educational, exhibition, and social zones, and the use of digital technologies and media art practices. Key success factors include administrative support, availability of adequate material resources, student involvement in space design, and stimulation of interdisciplinary interaction. Analysis of Ukrainian and international practices allowed for the formulation of recommendations for adapting creative hubs to the needs of specific art institutions. Scientific novelty. The article synthesizes contemporary approaches to the creation of creative spaces in art education and proposes a comprehensive methodology for their assessment and design. The novelty lies in combining Ukrainian experience with international practices, highlighting key success factors, and defining criteria for the effectiveness of creative spaces in fostering students’ creativity. Practical relevance. The results can be used by the administration of art institutions, architects, and educational space designers for planning and creating creative hubs that enhance students’ creative potential. Practical recommendations can be applied in the reconstruction of academic buildings, organization of exhibition halls, and creation of studios and laboratories for interdisciplinary projects.
