COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF SPORTS AND GAMING SPACES IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES IN THE CONTEXT OF MODULAR DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY

The features of the design and operation of sports and play spaces in different countries in the context of modular design and functionality are investigated. It has been established that the use of modular solutions provides high flexibility of the space, contributes to its adaptability to social and climatic conditions, and allows the integration of innovative technologies to improve operational efficiency.The purpose of the study is to substantiate the effectiveness of modular design in the design and operation of sports and gaming spaces based on an analysis of international experience, as well as to determine the prospects for its adaptation to local conditions. The research methodology involves the application of comparative analysis, a systematic approach to assessing the functionality of sports spaces, structural and logical analysis of regulatory aspects, and expert assessment of economic and technological constraints in the process of their implementation.The results of the study show that the main problems of implementing modular design are economic, technological, regulatory and environmental constraints.It has been found that financial instability in countries with low levels of state support for sports infrastructure complicates the implementation of long-term projects.Technological difficulties are associated with the need to use sustainable materials adapted to climate conditions and ensure digital integration, which requires significant investment. It has been established that regulatory restrictions in many countries do not take into account innovative methods of modular design, which hinders the introduction of new architectural solutions.The scientific novelty of the study lies in the systematisation of international practices of implementing modular design in sports and gaming spaces and the identification of the main factors that affect their effectiveness. A conceptual model for adapting modular solutions to local conditions by harmonising international standards and taking into account social, economic and climatic factors is proposed. The practical relevance of the study lies in the development of recommendations for government agencies, investors and architects to improve the design and management of sports and play spaces.
