GROWING OF COMPETENCIES THROUGH PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE: PARTICIPATION OF HIGHER EDUCATION STUDENTS IN REAL PROJECTS ON A COMPETITIVE BASIS

The purpose of the study is to determine the relevance of the participation of students of higher education in real projects on a competitive basis to reveal the impact of this activity on the growth of their competencies through gaining practical experience.Results. The analysis is presented based on the higher education project of Ksenia Zhuravlova, Bachelor in the speciality 022 Design. The urgency of the work lies in the need to provide adequate support and assistance to people affected by military conflicts, disasters or violence. The growing number of victims emphasises the importance of creating and developing rehabilitation centres that will ensure the full restoration of functions and integration of these people into society. Since the rehabilitation system in Ukraine is at an early stage of development, the need to promote the development of these institutions becomes extremely urgent. Such work significantly impacts the quality of life of victims and contributes to the formation of a humane, equal and inclusive society. Energy efficiency and the use of ecological materials are becoming an integral part of the modern design of rehabilitation centres. Systems of vertical gardening, rainwater harvesting and the use of solar panels significantly reduce energy costs and increase the environmental friendliness of the facility.Methodology. Based on the analysis of participation in the competition, it was found that this is the most effective way to find the best idea for the development of cities, territories and communities. A real way of gaining experience in cooperation with the community, identifying problem situations and determining the directions of possible solutions has been determined.The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the determined influence of the participation of higher education students in real projects on a competitive basis on the growth of competencies through the acquisition of practical experience.Practical relevance. A comprehensive approach to design, taking into account modern trends and regulatory requirements allows you to create a rehabilitation center that meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
