DESIGN OF JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES FROM DIFFERENT MATERIALS: ECOLOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract

Purpose – to analyze the creativity of modern ecological brands of jewelry, ac- cessories and jewelry, as well as to identify the main approaches to environmental friendliness in the design of jewelry, accessories and jewelry.Methodology. An analytical method was applied, visual-analytical, sys- tem-structural and comparative analysis were used.Results. An analysis of literary sources related to the manufacture of environ- mentally safe jewelry and jewelry was carried out. Modern methods and approaches in the creation of ecological jewelry are described. The creativity of modern domestic and foreign brands that create ecological jewelry is considered and characterized.It is determined that the number of Ukrainian manufacturers of ecological jewelry is significantly smaller compared to foreign manufacturers. Based on the analysis of products of existing brands that create ecological jewelry, the main aspects of environmental friendliness were identified: the use of recycled precious metals, re- cycling of waste from electrical appliances, reuse of precious stones, alternative ma- terials in modern jewelry, namely, plastic, cultured diamonds and ecologically grown pearls, recycling of old things, etc. All this helps to preserve the environment by re- ducing costs and minimizing any harmful effects associated with the extraction of di- amonds, precious stones and precious metals, as well as waste disposal.Scientific novelty. The connection of artistic elements in the design of jewelry with the ecological philosophy of brands was identified and analyzed. Modern ecolog- ical jewelry created by domestic and foreign masters has been introduced into scien- tific circulation.Practical relevance. The materials of this study can be used in the develop- ment of ecological jewelry, and they can also be a practical basis for the training of jewelry and jewelry designers. Based on the research conducted, a collection of jew- elry was developed using the upcycling technique.
