VISUAL-COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS IN AN INCLUSIVE URBAN ENVIRONMENT

The article is devoted to the study of functional and architectural-design aspects of visual communication systems in an inclusive urban environment. The authors identify challenges in integrating various technologies, such as digital information systems and adaptive navigation elements, to create an accessible and comfortable space for all user groups. The aim of the article is to explore the functional and architectural-design components of inclusive visual communication systems in urban settings that ensure accessibility and convenience for all social groups, including people with disabilities. Methodology: A combination of theoretical analysis of architectural and social principles, methods for studying contemporary trends in inclusive design, and practical approaches to adapting visual communication for diverse users. Scientific novelty: The article proposes a new approach to designing visual communication systems that integrate the needs of all users, ensuring both functional and aesthetic accessibility in urban environments. Key design principles are identified, as well as the significance of aesthetic and stylistic characteristics of visual communications and their role in harmonizing the architectural environment. Results: To create inclusive urban spaces, it is necessary to integrate adaptive technologies into the design of architectural elements that meet the needs of people with disabilities. The conclusions emphasize the importance of a comprehensive approach to the design of inclusive urban spaces, incorporating not only physical accessibility but also the psychological and social aspects of human interaction with the environment through visual and communication systems.Practical relevance. The developed recommendations and methodological guidelines can be directly used by urban planners, architects, and designers in the renovation of street and public spaces, contributing to improved accessibility, safety, and comfort for all user groups, particularly those with limited mobility.
