THE ROLE OF COLOR AND LIGHT ON THE DESIGN OF A CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL: INFLUENCE ON THE PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL STATE OF CHILDREN

Purpose. The problem of creating a psychologically comfortable therapeutic environment for children using color and light in a medical institution is considered, for which it is necessary to analyze modern trends and research on the influence of color and light on the psycho-emotional state of children, identify the features of the perception of color and light by children of different ages, develop recommendations for the use of color and light in the design of children’s hospitals to create a positive psycho-emotional climate, reduce stress and anxiety, promote recovery and general comfort of patients.Methodology. The study is based on an integrated approach that combines theoretical analysis, comparative characteristics, empirical research and the development of practical recommendations. Theoretical research and examples of successful projects of children’s hospitals in which color and light are used to create a therapeutic environment are analyzed.Based on the data obtained, practical recommendations for the use of color and light in the design of children’s hospitals are developed.Results. Theoretical – correlations between light and color solutions and psycho-emotional impact on the condition of children of different age groups.Practical – recommendations on the use of color and light in the design of children’s hospitals, which can be used to develop new projects or reconstruct existing hospitals. Scientific novelty. The comprehensive study of the influence of color and light on the psycho-emotional state of children of different ages and with various diseases.The effectiveness of the use of color and light in the complex treatment and rehabilitation of children is substantiated, and practical recommendations are developed for designers and architects on the use of color and light in the design of children’s hospitals.The results obtained can contribute to the creation of more favorable conditions for the recovery of children and the improvement of their psycho-emotional state during their stay in the hospital.Practical relevance. The offers recommendations on the use of color and light in the design of children’s hospitals, which can be used to create a more comfortable and therapeutic environment for young patients.The results of the study can help reduce stress and anxiety in children during their stay in the hospital, promote their recovery and improve their overall psycho-emotional state.The proposed recommendations can be used both for the development of new projects for children’s hospitals and for the reconstruction of existing ones. The implementation of the results of the study will contribute to improving the quality of medical care.
