ARCHITECTURAL MANNERISM OF THE END OF THE XX – BEGINNING OF THE XXI CENTURY AS A PREREQUISITE FOR THE EMERGENCE OF QUICH

The article examines the key aspects of architectural mannerism of the late 20th and early 21st centuries and its influence on the formation of modern architectural styles and directions. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the interaction between postmodernism and historical mannerism, which allows a deeper understanding of the evolution of architectural ideas and practices. The purpose of the work is to investigate the impact of the so-called architectural mannerism of the late 20th and early 21st centuries on the formation of new architectural styles and trends, analyzing postmodernism through the prism of historical mannerism. Methodology. The basis of the study is the use of methods of observation, comparison and analysis of architectural objects to identify common and distinctive characteristics of historical mannerism and postmodernism. The results. It was found that mannerism and postmodernism are characterized by complexity and eclecticism, and commercialization and cultural consumption have a significant impact on the formation of architectural kitsch. Scientific novelty. The work reveals the connection between aesthetic changes in architecture and wider socio-cultural processes, bringing a new understanding of the potential of architectural art. Practical significance. The research contributes to the development of new approaches to architectural design that meet modern cultural and social requirements.
