PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING TECHNOLOGY IN CIVIC EDUCATION

The article examines the features of problem-based learning as an educational technology, identifies its key characteristics and potential in the course of studying civic education by students. The essence of the concept of problem-based learning technology is clarified, which is considered as a way of organizing the educational process based on the creation of problem situations. It is emphasized that the main goal of problem-based learning is to form critical thinking skills in students. Practical examples of the application of problem-based learning technology in lessons and extracurricular activities in civic education are given. Problem-based learning technology is considered as a pedagogical methodology.
