The role of coaching as a professional competence in the formation and development of students of a higher education institution majoring in «social work» is investigated. The essence of the concept of «coaching» and the features of «bachelor's professional competence» are revealed. The conditions for successful interaction in the formation of self-education in social work are determined. The article analyzes the interaction of the use of coaching in social work.
