In the second half of the nineteenth century economic and social factors contributed to the formation of new types of housing. In Kiev, there was mass housing for different social population – apartment houses. Their construction unfolded in large urban areas. Apartment house combined house that seemed rentals, and various institutions that were profitable. It contributed to the formation of a rational and effective structure of internal space.References
