The article contains attempts to research linguicultural type ‘Guide’ on the basis of anecdotes. The analysis allows to draw the conclusion, that this type has the most essential features such as civility, scholarship, communicative skill, experience, wit, confidence, emotionality, fascination with his profession. The negative features of the analysed type is material interest.
