The article founds the relevance of the problemof word and terminology creation for the modernUkrainian literary language, as well as for professionalsublanguages. An attempt was made to considerthe processes of derivation through the prismof historical experience and contemporary realities,in particular the attitude of student youth to lexicalinnovations. The importance of cooperation of specialistsin subject areas with linguists is emphasized.Only then the professional sublanguages willhave “perfectly” developed system of terms.References
