Abstract

A study was conducted on the processing of food waste, mainly vegetable waste, using the modern biopreparation "Baikal-EM" in 5 days. The effectiveness of this preparation has been proven, provided that expired bread is added in an amount of at least 10% of the total waste. The results of the research showed an increase in the biomass of fermenting microflora by 18%, which indicates that bread is a complete substrate for the growth and maintenance of working biomass, as it meets the nutritional needs.
