EDUCATION IS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS MULTIPLIED BY ATTITUDE TOWARDS THEM: WORLD EXPERIENCE

Abstract

The article highlights some aspects of modern Ukrainian education through the prism of the results of the NMT-2025 and PISA-2022. It is noted that a thin layer of strong students is being formed in Ukrainian schools and a much wider layer of those who do not even possess basic knowledge. Today, the status of a teacher in our country is low. And this is one of the biggest problems affecting the quality of education. In the world, education is defined as a public good. The Ukrainian Law «On Education» states that it is a «service». And this is very painful for teachers. Educators believe that «In the hands of a teacher is the future of the country, and in his wallet is the shame of the state». This requires changes in the Ukrainian educational concept and its management.
