A short analysis of contemporary textiles, especially of textile art and textile art-design and analysis of its terminology, used in the world and Ukrainian practice, is given in the article. Due to this analysis the disparities of terms, used in the world and in Ukraine, were found. Terms, most clearly designating of the textile art works and most precisely meet international terms, are proposed.References
