Application of container plants in an urban environment

Abstract

This article describes one of the gardening techniques - container gardening. It has long been traditional in European gardens of the regular style; without it, it is now impossible to landscaping paved spaces. In urban landscaping, this and the technique is simply irreplaceable. City squares, streets, squares and boulevards literally transform with the skillful use of container landscaping.

The work established the positive and negative aspects of this type of gardening; Plants are presented that are best used for container gardening in an urban environment; materials from which it is better to make containers.

In large cities, filled with a network of underground communications, there are no longer any places left for planting tree and shrub species together in the soil. Accordingly, it is necessary to look for other ways to solve this problem, not welcoming the inhabitants of large cities of excellent flora. Container landscaping of streets and premises comes to the rescue. It is ideal for the improvement of a small space, containers are easily and quickly transported to any other location, at any time available to form new compositions of flowers, woody and shrub plants.

Container gardening is a very good solution for decorating street verandas and outdoor cafes. Plants in containers decorate shopping centers with greenery, make office spaces more comfortable and "lively". Container landscaping looks impressive on the roofs of houses.
