The latest technologies are transforming the process of reading and perceiving a literary text. Digital formats, hypertext, multimedia and interactive features are changing the traditional strategies of interaction between the reader and a literary work. The paper examines the cognitive aspects of the reception of literature in the digital environment, in particular the comparison of printed and electronic texts, as well as the impact of digital technologies on the processes of comprehension and interpretation.
