An interdisciplinary study of personality is proposed in the context of scientific-rational and religious-irrational strategies of cognition and world mastering. Both a theoretical analysis of the problem field of research and specific tools are used: the concept of functional asymmetry of the human brain hemispheres, a new epistemological postulate developed by the author, with the help of which the horizon of cognition of the most complex object of cognition – personality is expanded.
