The article examines the process of developing musical and stylistic competence of pupils of extracurricular art education schools. The aim of the study is to identify the peculiarities of forming this competence. It is determined that musical and stylistic competence is an integrative quality that characterizes the acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities of pupils in perceiving, understanding, and implementing the stylistic features of musical works. The results of the study show that the formation of this competence involves the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical performance activities, enabling art school pupils s to not only master the stylistic characteristics of musical works but also apply this knowledge in their own interpretations and creative explorations. The importance of critical thinking, improvisation, and an interdisciplinary approach to teaching is particularly emphasized, as they contribute to a deeper understanding of musical works and their cultural context.
