The article discusses the peculiarities of using artificial intelligence in the process of teaching foreign languages with the aim of developing communicative competence in future teachers. Some aspects of the introduction of artificial intelligence into the initial process are considered. Conclusions are provided regarding the effective use of the GPT chatbot in the formation of students' foreign language competence.
