Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarities of assessment, the differences between formative and summative assessment. The importance of formative assessment for improving teaching and learning is noted. The strategies reviewed improve the design, quality, and feedback of the course evaluation, as well as improve the instructor as an evaluator.
