Distance learning has become necessary since the end of 2019 as a result of national quarantine to prevent the rapid spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19. And it has become widespread in many countries around the world, including Ukraine, and its popularity is growing rapidly every year. Independent work is a form of organization of the educational process, in which the planned tasks are performed by the student independently in the classroom or outside it, under the methodological guidance of the teacher, but without his direct participation. Such work of students contributes to the deepening and expansion of knowledge, increasing interest in cognitive activity, the formation of a creative personality of the future specialist, capable of continuous self-improvement and self-education throughout life. Students studying in a blended form of learning using distance learning methods need strong motivation, as most of the material has to be mastered on their own. This requires sufficient willpower, self-discipline, self-organization, responsibility, and self-control. Such a form of communication as discussion acquires special significance. During the discussion, students learn to communicate kindly with each other and express their opinions without fear of criticism and condemnation, both the teacher and students of the group. Tasks, as well as performed by students during independent work, deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during lectures and practical classes, and thus contribute to more global thinking.
