The poem ”Eloiza to Abelard” takes a special place among A.Pope's works as is the only example of the letter written completely on behalf of the woman. It is history of people who really lived and the history which is widely known. A kind of classicism conflict of a debt and feeling is laid in the basis of the poem which is expressed in the emphatically excited words and exclamations, but very gracefully expressed, skillfully constructed. In this work we face again a peculiar imposing of classicistic and baroque stylistics at each other that reflects the features of rococo and sentimentalism mixture.References
