Abstract

The article reviewed ‘White Autographs’, a flash fiction book by MykolaTomenko published this year though the works themselves were written over 20 years ago. The study is relevant since this is the first scientific study of the writer’s flash fiction in the context of the Ukrainian 20th c. novelistics studies. Subjects and genre specifics of the texts, stylistic and image peculiarities of the short stories are identified. Basic categories the writer’s flash fiction is built on are established. Parallels to creative search of V.Stefanyk, M.Kotsiubinsky, H.Tiutiunnyk are made. Psychologism, film looking and philosophy of flash fiction texts are presented
