Abstract

The article examines the main title of the cult things of Christianity and the words in the designation of the elements of decoration of Church buildings in the East Slavic literature XI–XIV century, their history, the etymology and lexical meaning. The study of East Slavic lexical Fund XI–XIV C. reconstruction of the semantic structure of individual nouns is extremely important for tracking the history of old Ukrainian language.
