THE ‘AGENTS OF TRANSLATION’ CONCEPT AS A COMPONENT OF THE FUTURE TRANSLATOR TRAINING SUBJECT-MATTER

The article deals with the research into the background knowledge related to the ‘agents of translation’ concept within the framework of the Polysystem Theory of Translation, as well as the Systemic and Empirical Approach to Literature. The author suggests a conceptual scheme of some of the Polysystem Theory components and the correlation of the ‘agents of translation’ concept components. It is argued that the said conceptual scheme may be used as the basis for the selection of the notions which should be included into the subject-matter of the future translator training which, in the author’s view, at present lacks the relevant information concerning the issue under consideration.
