Abstract

Military operations in Ukraine have had significant environmental consequences, particularly for water resources. Pollution of rivers and reservoirs with heavy metals, petroleum products, explosives, and other toxic substances poses a serious threat to ecosystems and public health. The article analyzes the main factors of the war's impact on water resources, assesses the extent of pollution, and suggests possible ways of ecological restoration.
