The increase in the number of fires in Ukraine in 2021-2023: the consequences of war and the destruction of infrastructure

Abstract

The article examines the increase in the number of fires in Ukraine as a result of military operations in 2021-2023. The main causes of fires were the destruction of residential, industrial and energy facilities due to shelling and air strikes. The difficulties in the work of fire services in wartime and the threat to the population and the environment are emphasized.
