Social media as the tool of global politics

Abstract

The research deals with the peculiarities of using of the social media as the tool of contemporary world processes, reveals the conditions and specific characteristics of social communications in the frame of international relations settlement on the basis of regional proxy wars in the Middle East. The article reveals the threats which social media poses to international affairs as well as analyses the role of social communications in entrenching democracy and strengthening international security.
