Comparative Analysis of SIFT and SURF Methods for Local Feature Detection in UAV Imagery

Abstract

The paper examines local feature detection methods such as SIFT and SURF which are widely used in computer vision for processing UAV imagery. The algorithms are analyzed in terms of accuracy and speed and their advantages and disadvantages are discussed using image processing in the MATLAB environment as an example.
