Abstract

This paper introduces two new Walsh-like bases, Walsh-Cooley and Walsh-Tukey, which provide linear coherence to the frequency scales of the DFT processor. These bases improve upon traditional Walsh systems by offering better frequency resolution, computational efficiency, and ease of hardware implementation. Their application in digital signal processing, especially for non-sinusoidal signals, is demonstrated through comparative analysis.
