INFLUENCE OF PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS ON CONFLICT BEHAVIOR IN TEENAGERS

Abstract

The article analyzes the concepts of "conflict", "conflict behavior"; "Styles of behavior in a conflict situation"; the reasons of conflicting behavior at teenagers are specified. The specifics of adolescence, accompanied by self-affirmation, separation, rebellion, strong emotional experiences, anxiety, irritability, depression; characterized by a change in the hierarchy of values, motives, self-awareness. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of psychological factors on conflict behavior in adolescents, including such as aggression, anxiety, as well as relationships with parents, classmates, teachers. Methods of analysis, systematization and generalization of theoretical material of scientific sources allowed to get acquainted with domestic and foreign experience in this field. The following methods were used in the empirical study: Buss-Durkee Hostility Inventory (BDHI); personal scale of manifestations of Taylor's anxiety (adapted by T.A. Nemchin); "Strategies of behavior in conflict situations" by K. Thomas (adapted by N.V. Grishina); author's questionnaire. Results. In order to establish a connection between psychological factors and the strategy of behavior in conflict, we performed mathematical data processing according to Pearson's test. The relationship between anxiety levels and behavioral strategies was found: rivalry and adaptation. This suggests that the higher the level of anxiety, the more likely it is that a conflict strategy or adaptation will be used in a conflict situation. The influence of anxiety on the choice of strategy of behavior in the conflict is stated. Mathematical processing also revealed the influence of such factors as the psychological climate in the family and the classroom, the attitude of parents, teachers and classmates to the adolescent on the strategies of behavior in conflict situations. It is concluded that, given the urgency of the problems of conflict behavior in adolescents, it is necessary to continue the study of psychological factors that provoke conflict and complicate its course, in order to improve the corrective work of practical psychologists
