Abstract

There were analyzed the standard methods of testing the fatigue strength of structural materials samples under asymmetric cyclic loading conditions. It’s shown that fatigue tests of structural materials are time-consuming and long-term. The results of the research can be used to develop a standard for fatigue testing methods of structural materials samples under asymmetric cyclic loading conditions, which will significantly reduce the amount of experiments required to determine the fatigue resistance characteristics under asymmetric cyclic loading.
