Routing method in mobile software-defined networks based on fuzzy inference system

Abstract

The work is devoted to the development of a routing method based on a fuzzy inference system and a multi-path routing algorithm in mobile software-defined networks. A routing method is proposed that allows increasing the efficiency of the route selection scheme by taking into account a set of metrics and determining the path with the highest stability value to the specified destination node using a fuzzy inference system.

The algorithm of multi-path inverse wave routing is used, which allows finding paths between source and destination nodes and finding paths between intermediate network nodes, and performing dynamic rerouting of the path if necessary.  An algorithm for predicting the stability of the route for packet transmission using the Mamdani fuzzy inference system has been developed. This method helps to choose a route with a low probability of link destruction during routing and to reduce the number of path discovery operations from the initial node.
