Abstract

The development of electric power systems is forwarded tofind the solution of their work optimization. At the system level, the optimization is directed at building microgrids, which are local power systems. The key advantage of microgrids is the ability to be self-sufficient in case of emergencies that cause shutdown. In such a local electrical system - microgrid, there are several types of objects. First, there are generating capacities, such as diesel generators. Secondly, there are objects that only consume electricity. Third, there are objects that not only consume, but also produce electricity, for example, based on solar panels or wind turbines. The fourth type of objects are the storages of energy, which initially accumulates energy, and then, during peak load times, deliver it to the network. A feature of such system is that each object has its owner. Electricity makers can sometimes produce more energy than they currently use and sell this excess energy to a neighbor who needs it. Thus, the microgrid consists of an economic mini-market with the relevant participants and their own interests. Management of such the energy complex may be put on an automated information system built on the basis of the blockchain technology. The article considers the possibility of using blockchain technology to control microelectric power networks. The problems that can be effectively solved with the help of blockade technology are presented. Problems to be solved are formulated. Examples of using blockchain in microgrids are given.
