Abstract

The article discusses the main aspects of associative memory and its impact on personality development. It was determined that associative memory is a cognitive process, thanks to which a person is able to connect new information with already existing experience, forming a complex system of knowledge and ideas about the world. A number of effective exercises and methods for improving associative memory are presented. It was found that the development of associative memory is of great importance in the formation of a personality: it improves memory and attention; contributes to the formation of a person's worldview; reveals the creative potential of the individual; promotes the development of critical thinking and the ability to solve problems and tasks; helps to navigate in the environment and adapt to new circumstances; contributes to the development of emotional intelligence, the ability to recognize and understand emotions, both one's own and those of other people, which affects interpersonal relationships and promotes positive relationships with others.
