The paper considers the main aspects of education in higher technical educational institutions; modern methods of teaching engineering students; the role of computer technologies as a means of free information acquisition, its processing and storage.nd methods for improving the quality of education are proposed, which opens up new opportunities for obtaining knowledge and scientific research.
