Abstract

Within the framework of the scientific work, the experience of the member states of the European Union regarding the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals with an emphasis on Goal 4 «Quality of education» were analyzed. The European experience of stimulating the development of higher education institutions according to the principles of sustainability is studied. Trends and ways of universities’ further development according to the concept of sustainable development in the EU countries have been outlined.
